2010 TCM 31 Days of Oscar | See My 10 Best and Pick Your Own

This year for 31 Days of Oscar I will be tweeting my Best Oscar Pick from each days schedule and sharing a blogpost for my Pick. You can pick your own 10 Best and share them on top social networking venues, such as Facebook and My Space. As usual the TCM web designers have created a slick interface to choose from a list of Oscar movies and then drag and drop them in the order you wish. You just have to check it out for yourself. Although the visuals are awesome, it doesn't beat the TCM University theme from last year. I just don't think they can come up with much to compete with 2009.

I translated my obsession for watching TCM into an obsession for twittering about TCM. My original expectations were for a few fellow movie geeks to join me in celebrating my favorite event, 31 days of Oscar. Well, I've been pleasantly surprised by over 800 followers to find I am far from unique in my love for the classic movies featured by TCM. Profiles of tweeple reveal incredibly diverse bios of all ages and professions. Also, decided to establish this blog to capture the info and activity of @TCManiacs twittering. A little web analytics (unable to track for twitter) reveals visits come from 454 cities across the globe....including Makati!

Makati, is one of the cities and municipalities that make up Metro Manila, the greater metropolitan area of the national capital of the Philippines. It is the major financial, commercial and economic hub in the Philippines, often referred to as the financial capital of the Philippines

Earned Degree From TCM University GPA 3.35

Earned my degree in 31 Days! After completing all courses and taking examinations TCManiac graduates with an Honorable 3.35 GPA in TCM University's Class of 2009 .

As their #1 fan, I can say this was the most inventive and enjoyable theme for Oscar month that TCM has produced. What's next?

31 Days of Oscar Composition Book and Yearbook

What a great graduation gift! I participated in a contest and won my very own 31 Days of Oscar Composition Book. What a great keepsake!

Inside there's detailed "note taking" for all 31 days in every course offered. Along with doodles, highlighting and pasted in pictures, every movie shown is documented in this commemorative composition book. Following these pages are actual college-ruled notebook pages with the official Turner Classic Movies University emblem embossed on each page.

I found my signature in the TCM University Yearbook! I wrapped my 'heart' around it!

31 Days of Oscar University: Final Exam Questions

One morning in my enthusiasm over back to back Bette Davis movies, I wondered if anyone else felt so compelled to tweet. To my surprise I found more than one zealous tweets about the same TCM showings. A mutual following of TCM enthusiasts and 31 Days of Oscar inspired @TCManiacs. Twittering daily schedule and tidbits of trivia about the current TCM movies has drawn over 600 followers in 3 weeks. Since inception on Valentines Day, TCManiacs.blogspot.com has received visitors from 250 cities from every continent.

TCManiacs twitter and blog has been a spontaneous organic development, without plan, paralleling my own OCD habits. I am delighted to make use of my obsessive behavior and share some of the otherwise useless information for your enjoyment!
